Report Wrongdoing

The BBSEA Project offers a Grievance Redress Mechanism to allow an avenue for project participants or other interested stakeholders of the project to comment on or express concern on matters relating to project implementation. In addition, it is intended to allow stakeholders to pass important information to higher levels of project oversight and management in a neutral and, if necessary, anonymous way.

The complainant will be informed about the solution in due course, the timeline depends on the type and seriousness of the grievance. The complainant has the right to appeal against the decision of the Project Team. The appeal must be made in writing within 20 days of receipt of the decision. The purpose of the request is to provide an independent view of the complaint and to review the decision.

Confidentiality and Anonymity
Your privacy is paramount. All information will be treated with strict confidentiality. You have the right to remain anonymous. If you have specific safety or privacy concerns, please detail them in your submission so we can take appropriate measures.

Grievances related to sexual exploitation and abuse and sexual harassment
Given the sensitive nature of such complaints, the mechanism provides a survivor-centered approach. The grievance recipients and anyone handling the grievance will maintain absolute secrecy in regard to the case. Maintaining confidentiality means not disclosing any information at any time to any party without the informed consent of the person concerned. The survivor needs to provide informed consent before the case’s processing when he or she has been fully informed about all relevant facts.
