BBSEA Holds Third Advisory Committee Meeting to Advance Regional Cooperation
The Blueing the Black Sea (BBSEA) Project held its Third Advisory Committee Meeting, bringing together regional partners and stakeholders to review project progress, discuss strategic priorities and explore opportunities to strengthen regional cooperation for marine pollution reduction.
The meeting was chaired by Călin Gheorghiță, representing the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Moldova, which currently holds the Regional Steering Comittee Chairmanship.
Discussions highlighted progress under the BBSEA Eco-Innovation Challenge, including the transition of winning solutions towards implementation, as well as ongoing work on national policy and investment recommendations in Georgia, the Republic of Moldova, Türkiye and Ukraine.
The Advisory Committee focused on opportunities to scale and finance eco-innovations, translate policy recommendations into investment-ready projects, and strengthen partnerships with regional organizations and financing institutions. Participants also explored strategic priorities for 2027, emphasizing the importance of long-term sustainability, knowledge exchange and regional collaboration.
The meeting provided an important platform for strategic dialogue, supporting BBSEA's continued efforts to turn innovative solutions and policy recommendations into concrete actions for a cleaner and healthier Black Sea.
