Improving sludge management and future investment planning

In Moldova, the project has shifted its focus toward one of the country's key environmental priorities: wastewater sludge management. Following the completion of the legislative assessment, experts are developing technical questionnaires, engaging wastewater operators and preparing recommendations that will strengthen both the legal framework and monitoring capacity.

The work will ultimately identify priority investments that improve sludge management while supporting long-term wastewater treatment performance.

Stakeholders from government, utilities and technical institutions will review the findings, validate the recommendations and discuss future priorities for sludge management and investment planning.
